Yahooz Double Drive Through Coffee Hats
Yahooz is a double drive through gourmet coffee hat that is local to the Tyler, Texas area. Yahooz's quality, flavor, and value far surpasses that of Starbucks. Though our town has 3 Starbucks Coffee shops, every morning the line of cars at Yahooz is usually 3-4 cars deep at each window!
What Makes Yahooz So Great
Yahooz is the Absolute Best Coffee in East Texas
Yahooz sells specialty coffees as well as premium roast black coffees, just like Starbucks. They are a friendly, fast service drive-through that are super convenient on your commute to work. Their coffee is super smooth and everyone that I know who has tried Yahooz agrees that its flavor is better than Starbucks. So, if you haven't tried Yahooz, you may be wondering why it's so great. Here is what makes Yahooz so special:
- The Double Drive-Through -- Yahooz's double drive through means super speedy service!
- Their Recipes -- Their recipes were created and taste tested by the owner. I've spoken with her about her recipes. She shared her secret with me for my favorite one, the Southern Gentleman. While I won't give away all of her secrets, I will tell you that she uses almost twice the amount of espresso per latte than Starbucks does. This makes for a richer coffee flavor in all of her lattes. Yum!
- Super Friendly Service -- The owner works the main hat a lot and she is super friendly. She hires the best people in the area to work all of her hats. All of her employees are friendly, helpful, professional, and fast. I also haven't met one of her employees that doesn't absolutely love the products that they sell.
- Their Frequent Buyers Card -- They will give you a stamp card for free. Each time you buy a drink from them they'll stamp your card. When it's full, you get a free 12 oz. cup of your favorite drink.
- Customizable Options -- Customize anything on the menu. Really! You want that sugar free? Fat free? Half decaf? No problem! I always get mine with an extra shot of coconut flavoring. If you crave it, they can and will do it. All of their flavored coffees are offered hot or cold. And the cold drinks come in your choice of on ice or blended.
- They're Local -- It just feels good to support a mom and pop business. If you're in the area, be sure to support this locally owned business by swinging by and buying a yummy cup of joe.
"The Search Engine Giant Yahoo! Threatens Locally Owned Yahooz Coffee Hats"
Yahoo! the Search Engine Giant Takes Legal Action Against Yahooz Coffee Hat
Big Business Trying to Squash Another Mom and Pop Business
Yahoo! the search engine giant is seeking legal action against our locally owned Yahooz Coffee Hats. Yahooz filed for their trademark back in 2006, but now Yahoo! seems to have a problem with the drive-through coffee hat's name.
I just have to scratch my head. I'm wondering why Yahoo! even cares. Yahoo! and Yahooz aren't competitors. Yahooz is a drive-through coffee shop. Yahoo! is a search engine. I'm really baffled by this one.
Yahooz coffee hats are designed with a western theme. Their cups have a cowboy riding a bronco. Their logo is a rope tied in a lasso. Texas has a very rich cowboy and rodeo culture. "Yahoo" has long been an exclamation that is associated with cowboys.
I understand that the search engine owns the trademark "Yahoo!" but does this mean that they also own the word "yahoo" and all it's derivatives?
What's next? Will the search engine giant sue individuals every time they enthusiastically exclaim "yahoo?"
The Owner of Yahooz Released the Following Statement About the Issue:
"In light of Yahoo!'s longstanding rights in its famous and well-known trademarks, Yahooz has decided to resolve the trademark dispute amicably by changing our name to a non-contentious name, Kickerz!"

- Yahoo have no business going after Yahooz. They have nothing in common. It would make sense if Yahoo went after a online search company named as Yahooz. But this is insane. Let people do business and don't be a bully.

- The expression YAHOO was around long before Yahoo's website ever existed. I personally feel the company does not have anything else better to do. I say mind your own business Yahoo and leave YAHOOZ alone. I personally love to drive through the hat when I am in town. I wish there was one near my home in Fort Worth. I would definitley be a regular. YAHOO for YAHOOZ!!!!

- The coffee sounds great, the building is definitely unique!
I don't understand why Yahoo! would do this, it's just ruining their name. Hopefully they'll come to their senses and drop the lawsuit. They'll probably be absorbed into Google someday anyway.

- I'll have to make sure I get off in Tyler the next time I'm heading that way to try this awesome coffee. (Yahoo pulled something similar with a bakery that started to sell online. Don't remember what happened there. Silly people!)
Another great lens for the Texas group!!

- Very nasty of Yahoo to operate that way...I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the hat. This is a cool lens, by the way. Five stars!
